Karomed Study Day's A Big Success
Karomed recently held two Community Equipment Services Study Day's, which attracted a large number of delegates.
The first Study Day was held at the Holiday Inn, Haydock on 15th February, and the second was held at the Hilton Hotel, Swindon on 1st March.
Entitled "Clinical Governance - Implications for Practice", both days featured an attractive programme relevant to those involved in the selection of and issues relating to equipment selection and use. The programme included the following sessions:
- Guidelines on Pressure Ulcer Prevention
- Issues Relating to Bed Rails
- Infection Control Issues
- Integrating Community Equipment Services
- Accountability - Medical Device Management - Who is Responsible?
- Clinical Audit - Pressure Relieving Equipment from Selection to Evaluation
The speakers at the events included Dr Carol Dealey, Dr Krzysztof Gebhardt, Chris Brothwood, Donna Chaloner MBE, Jenny Stevens, Pauline Bradshaw, Marion Moody & Gill Hiskett. Both sessions were chaired by Maria Poole.
